About Me

Two years ago I quit my job of 20 years to remarry, move and become a "farm wife". For the most part, I am now a stay at home mom (with the exception of a few temp. odd jobs and sub teaching here and there).

As of the 2007 school year, we are now a homeschooling family.

We also farm. Our farms include a large garden, haying, horses, cows, geese, chickens, ducks, rabbits, 2 stocked ponds, small vinyard and an orchard.

We live at the main farm (the one with the animals) and our other farm is currently growing hay, nuts and firewood to harvest this fall.
In the spring we will be adding sheep, pigs and turkeys.

We have 5 daughters, (including 2 sets of twins) 3 who are still at home.

I love to camp, travel, garden, fish, bake, do needlework, sew, genelogy and ride horses. One of my favorite places to travel to is Northern Indiana (LaGrange county), where I have Amish cousins and to learn about my ancestors.

My goal is to help this family stay on track financially and to stay out of debt, other than our mortgage.

It was wonderful. No one wanted to leave! 12 couples are in it. Did you know that once you are in one, you are always in one? The fee is paid one time. Anytime I want to go to another 12 week class, I can-no fee-anytime-forever. All of the website is free. I just have to enter our class code.

I have already read way ahead in the book.

Stayed home today from work. 3 youngest are sick with high fevers. Having to keep a close eye on them all. I don't like fevers.

Yep, loved my FPU classes! I took them over the summer. I plan on attending at least one class(to review and stay motivated) each session.

I'd love to attend FPU. I'm finished reading TMMO and can't get enough of what Dave says! Now to just put it into practice.

Keep up the classes with Dave Ramsey they really work been on his program for over a year now. We are over $20,000 debt free!
