Garden came to an abrupt halt

May 18th, 2007 at 05:06 pm

because I stepped on a pitch fork yesterday. So, in about 45 minutes I have an appt at the county health office to get a tetnus shot. It got right in the ball of my foot, hurts to stand on it, but the worse is driving, as it is my clutch foot.
So far, I have in the ground--
tomatoes 40
peppers 38
okra
radishes
lettuce
cabbage
red cabbage
carrots
onions
califlaur
tons of flowers
watermelon
canteloup
cucumbers
zuchinni
brocolli (that probably wont make it-due to the freeze & flood)
lima beans
I still have to go:
corn
green beans
peas
squash
and a few other veggies
hopefully tomorrow I can put more weight on my foot and get back out there and play in the dirt.
I already have tomatoes coming on, caulifloaur coming on, and my peppers are blooming

My foot hurts just reading about your pitchfork adventure.

I have most of my tools painted a bright shade of pink. My excuse is it keeps anyone from taking my things, as they don't want to get caught using a PINK hammer, or a PINK rake. It might make them easier to see in the garden too, so you don't have a repeat of today!

    Your garden sounds fantastic!!!
