We are happy here in Chicago that it is nearing $3.30!

    Holy COW!

We're still at $3.30 - actually it went up a few cents. *sigh*

I'm jealous! I thought our current $2.78 was good (which it apparently is after reading the other two comments). Enjoy seeing lower numbers at the pump!

Amazing! Gas buddy.com reports the lowest gas price in Independence at $2.38, but, even that is a fantastic price! It also shows the prices there have been dropping through the day. Save me some, will 'ya?

That was last night at a quick trip. It and another nearby station are having a little gas war that has been going on for several weeks. The radio this morning listed a station in Overland Park KS that had it for $2.01, but the traffic guy stated the line was rather long and was interferring with traffic.

I remember it being 17 cents a gallon when I was a kid. One year on our way to camp, the fuel started going up and it stopped at 79 cents a gallon. My dad made it a point to tell us what a burden it was on the budget to take that trip due to the price of the fuel...

I was thrilled, yesterday, when I paid $2.98 a gallon in Colorado. I wonder why Missouri prices are so much lower.

We don't have some of the road taxes that other states have. When we go back and forth to Indiana, we try to fill to the brim before we cross the river into IL, as IL is always higher than Indiana.

It is still around 2.78 here in St. Louis. Can't wait for the good prices to roll this way. I know my sister lives in Mid Missouri and she is always around .30 cheaper than us.
