I am starting to look for another PT job, as mine will end the end of May.
I'd like to work from home if possible, and be able to control my hours during the summer, as I am already committed to being dorm mom at camp 2 weeks.
I put an ad in the local paper (its a weekly deal) offering to do some childcare in my home. I also posted it on Craigs list.
Last night I faxed my resume off to a local comapny that is looking for people to work PT doing medical billing, from their home.
I don't want selling, need the flexability of taking DD#4 to her frequent dr appointments, need to stay by home due to the farming operation.
I don't have DSL-can't get high speed here, and can not have another phone line either (lines are full, phone company has a waiting list).
I don't want anything that is real physical either, so that rules out house cleaning, plus, there is the issue that after school ends, we will be home schooling, and I will have my children with me to be taken care of.
My girls will be in summer school in June at the local public school, so I have my name in for sub teaching for the month already.
Any ideas???

Another factor is, DH works 12 hour swing shifts--3 days on, 4 days off, 3 nights on, 4 days off. He also has a commute of 1 hr each way, so he is gone 14 hours a day on his working days.
Lastly, if I have a bad day, its would be to be able to work from home. My current job isn't at home, but since its just 2 hrs a day, I can handle it. And, if its a bad day and I get called to sub teach, I can turn it down. (I have MS) My last job was in an office (for years and years) and it was getting harder and harder, especially when I drew the shift of 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.
My MS does'nt interfer with my working so much as physically, but I have trouble sleeping, so its nice to be able to arrange my own hours if I can, I need frequent bathroom breaks (plus having children, including twins bouncing on that bladder!), short term memory is getting shorter (or maybe thats old age coming on??), and sometimes some numbness that is my warning to slow down. Once in awhile my eyes get strained easy, so I like to not drive in the dark unless I have to.
I'm not complaining about it-I am one of the lucky ones--no wheelchair for me, but I am trying to not push it.
