It seems like lately when I go to take a survey, I don't meet the profile they are looking for....so, no $ earned, no points earned. I'm getting that on lightspeed, greenfield, survey spot and zoom. It didn't used to be like that, seems it just started a couple weeks ago.
My dad called awhile ago. While we were talking he mentioned he thinks another depression is going to start. He said times are changing. Several years ago, he would only see 3-4 forclosures in the local paper per month. Now there are 10-20 a day in the local paper. He also said the same houses have been for rent and for sale advertised for months-one has been listed for over a year. He also noticed something I've noticed here lately-people have their lights off. It used to be when I'd go down the road at night I'd see houses with every light on. I don't see that like I used to.
I think my dad is probably on the right track. He lived through the depression of the 30's, and is a very smart education person holding several degrees. He said he is just seeing a lot of signs and thinks it will get worse for a lot of people before it gets better.
That makes me happier that I now live on a farm with food to eat. At least I can keep my family fed.

I don't know if we are talking Depression, but definately recession!! Even if the fed cut the interest rate again, its too late. Anyone that might have bought a house does'nt have a job anymore, for crying out loud!

All I get from survey spot is contest entries. I have been doing it for over 2 years and not earned a dime.
I do have good luck with MYPoints, and what little bit I buy online, I go through there website. I used to never buy on line (except some ebay), but with gas the price it is, and the fact the nearest Sears and Penneys and Walmart are 21-27 miles away, sometimes I am now buying on line when they offer no shipping specials. It saves me a trip and the gas.
My dad is even having my mom buy larger quanities of food, just for the 2 of them, and powered milk and such. He said if nothing else, they are getting food today for less than tomorrow and not paying for gas to go to the store every few days. He wants her to keep at least a month of canned goods at the house now. He has pointed out several things that he has observed that are making him uncomfortable and giving him feelings trouble is ahead. He is in his 80's and very sharp--in fact still sub teaches, drives and is physically active.
